MEET THE NOMINEES:
The underlying reasons for me to be interested in being part of the SCMA Alberta board is to help my fellow Supply Chain Professionals and my passion that I bring to the organization to serve wholeheartedly. This is also be a new avenue for me to learn fantastic new people skills and network with fellow professionals. It’s an invigorating and dynamic role, which puts one at the very heart of a noble endeavor and its ground work, liaising with a team of like-minded people. As such, everything the board does needs to be tactful and considerate of a range of backgrounds, cultures and beliefs.
I believe diversity is so important across the sector—and diversity starts at the board level. It allows for fresher ideas and new perspectives. It will allow me to have a valuable seat behind the wheel of an exciting organization and will play a key role in strategizing.

Having grown up in Saskatchewan, I looked forward to someday moving to the “big city”. After high school, I packed up my car and headed west to Alberta to attend the University of Alberta. There were so many new places and things to explore which suited my curious nature.
After finishing my Bachelor of Commerce, I was anxious to begin my career with global manufacturer, LafargeHolcim, in Calgary. Several great mentors shared their passion for supply chain and I soon realized that a career in supply chain meant that an entire array of opportunities were available for me to take advantage of. I have since spent many years in the manufacturing sector and have even briefly dipped my toes in the public sector. Currently I am working in the distribution world and have continued to build upon my skill set. Throughout all of my experience I have worked in procurement, logistics & warehousing, contract negotiation & inventory management.
As for my personal life, I currently reside in Calgary with my husband and two daughters. We are pet lovers that love to entertain, travel, and spend time with family & friends. In my spare time I enjoy baking, reading non-fiction books, camping, and tackling DIY projects at home.
