About Supply Chain Canada — West

The Western
institute of
Supply Chain
Canada.

Supply Chain Canada — West is the regional institute of Supply Chain Canada — the national association that has advanced the supply chain profession since 1919. We serve the procurement, logistics, operations and planning professionals of Alberta and British Columbia.

Our mandate is three-fold: advance the profession in the West through regional learning, convene the network through chapter events and the flagship Futures Conference, and support the national association's mission of certification and standards.

02 / Why Attend Futures 2026

Three reasons
this room
matters.

The Futures Conference is the one day each year when Western Canada's supply chain decision-makers all show up — and the reasons compound.

01

The Network

300+ procurement, logistics and operations leaders from energy, government, retail, education and tech — all in one room. Vendor introductions, peer benchmarking, and contracts that start over coffee.

02

The Intelligence

15+ speakers across six focus areas: resilience, logistics corridors, public/private leadership, digital and data, ESG, talent. Plus regional economic outlook from ATB's Chief Economist.

03

The Credit

10 CPD credits earned in a single day — applicable to SCMP holders and an immediate boost to your designation logbook. Certificate delivered within 5 business days.

03 / Voices

Members and 2025 conference attendees — on what the institute and the conference mean to their careers.

The most senior procurement room I've sat in west of Toronto. Three vendor introductions there turned into signed contracts inside ninety days.

SCC West gives me the regional context the national association can't — and the chapter mixers are where I actually meet my peers face-to-face.

2025 Futures Conference paid for itself in one conversation about Tier-1 ESG audit prep. Don't miss the Edmonton edition.

The ATB Economic Outlook session alone was worth the registration. We adjusted our Q4 procurement strategy based on what we heard that morning.

I've attended supply chain events across the country — the Futures Conference has the best mix of senior executives and working practitioners I've seen anywhere.

Our company renewed our chapter sponsorship after the first conference. The ROI on relationship-building is unmatched for our Western Canada business development.

10 CPD credits in a single day is exceptional. I recommend the Futures Conference to every SCMP candidate on my team — they come back energised.
